I haven't worked out for an entire week, have I lost my endurance and stamina? Or will it still be there?

I am planning on going back to the gym tomorrow night, and hitting it HARD. But I want to know that i'm not considered '' out of shape '' already. The reason I stopped was because I got a tattoo last week, and was told to avoid exercising for an entire week.

I haven't worked out for an entire week, have I lost my endurance and stamina? Or will it still be there?
If you have been working out regularly and you have only taken a week off then you might find yourself a bit out of breath but it's not likely you have lost your stamina in it's entirety. Take some mega man sport found at GNC I hear from my Fiancee that stuff is great for building stamina.
Reply:You will be fine. It takes 2 weeks of no exercise before your body starts to lose the gains you've made. A week is actually good for your body, as it gets some well deserved rest (provided you've been working out for 3 months or more) and enables you come back with a vengeance.

Remember: Getting stronger doesn't happen IN the gym, but at home, while your sleeping, resting and consuming healthy, muscle-building foods.
Reply:Your body has great "muscle memory." You'll be fine. You'll be able to pick up where you left off with no problem. Especially after only 1 week. But, don't hit it too hard. You don't want to injure your relaxed muscles. Ease back into it.
