How can i improve my stamina and punching power?
weigth training, and run a lil bit each day
Reply:no don't weight train right now. You won't get the most out of lifting weights that you can until a few years from now. Best thing to do is continue to work on boxing with your trainer and incorporate the following exercises into your life on some of the days you don't train in boxing (just remember you must have a rest day or 2 if you need more than 1)...

pull-ups, squat-thrusts, push-ups, sit-ups, air squats, jumping pull-ups, back extensions, knees to elbows, jump-rope, run (long distance and sprints), swim laps if you have access to pool or lake, air lunges, climb rope, arm hang, chop wood, and lots of other exercises you can do that don't require weights. All these things will get you into better shape. As for punching power... that comes from proper technique which you will learn from your trainer
Reply:For your stamina the easiest thing to do is continuous running. Basically you just need to say run for about 25 mins to start with once a day and then either increase the frequency (twice a day?), duration (30min runs?) or intensity(run harder?) of your runs.

For your punching power you need to improve your strength which will indeed be weights. You will want to do about 3 sets of 10 reps with a moderately heavy weight. then build up the weight or amount of reps.

Hope it helps and sorry its a bit long :D
Reply:skipping and plenty of it. This is an excellent form of exercise that requires minimal equipment, i.e. a skipping rope.

Increases your speed and stamina. Power comes with weight training.
